Community First

The Faces Behind Grit & Grace

Get to know the women behind The Grit & Grace Group. In this video, Kendal and Candy share why they chose real estate, what drives them every day, and how their real-life experiences shape the way they serve their clients. It’s not about sales — it’s about people, purpose, and building a community one home at a time.

Our Story

Real Estate

Real estate isn’t just about buying or selling homes — it’s about people, stories, and the spaces where life unfolds. At The Grit & Grace Group, we blend expertise, empathy, and community connection to make every move feel meaningful.

Properties

I first began staging my own listings because I wanted to bring extra value to my clients — to show that when you list with me, I pull out all the stops. Sellers deserve an advocate who goes beyond the basics. Over time, I’ve discovered that staging isn’t just about design — it’s about creativity, transformation, and emotional connection. It’s also become a powerful way to collaborate with my colleagues, helping both sellers and buyers open and close new chapters through the art of marketing a home.

At Redhouse Lending, we make home financing simple, transparent, and personalized. As an independent mortgage broker, Kendal Martinez has the freedom to shop multiple lenders and find the best loan for your unique goals. Whether you’re buying your first home, refinancing, or expanding your investments, she provides clear guidance, honest communication, and a stress-free lending experience built on trust.

We're not your typical realtors. We're two women who stumbled into real estate through actual life experience — not a weekend seminar and a dream board.

Kendal Martinez spent years in the mortgage world, so she speaks fluent "loan officer" and can translate it into normal human language. Before that? She was wrangling four kids and a classroom full of students. Which means she's seen it all, stays calm under pressure, and won't judge you for texting at 10 PM with a random question about escrow. She's basically a teacher, a therapist, and a financial translator rolled into one very patient person.

Candy Ulibarri answered 9-1-1 calls for 16 years. Yes, that 9-1-1. Then she spent 3 years in long-term care, because apparently she thrives under pressure and has a heart the size of Colorado. With a sociology degree from CSU Pueblo and zero tolerance for BS, Candy's the one who'll tell you the truth — even if it's not what you want to hear. She's your fiercest advocate, your straight-shooter, and probably the only realtor who's literally saved lives.

Together? We're the team that treats you like a real person, not a commission check. We listen more than we talk (shocking, we know). We'll celebrate your wins, calm your freakouts, and never pressure you into granite countertops you don't actually want.

Whether you're buying your first home, selling the place where you raised your kids, or finally getting that investment property, we've got you. No jargon, no games, no weird pressure tactics.
